The People's Bank Of China (hereinafter referred to as the Central Bank) is the central bank of the People's Republic of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. Under the leadership of the State Council, formulate and implement monetary policies to prevent and resolve financial risks and maintain financial stability.

The PBOC 2.0 specification is the "China Financial Integrated Circuit (IC) Card Specification."

According to China's bank card chip program requirements, on March 13, 2005, the People's Bank issued the No. 55 document and officially issued the industry standard "China's financial integrated circuit (IC) card specification" (JR/T 0025-2005) (industry Referred to as PBOC2.0). This specification supplements and perfects electronic purse/passbook applications; adds debit/credit applications compatible with EMV standards; adds non-contact IC card physics features; adds electronic purse extensions application guides, loan/credit application personalization guides, etc. . This standard will lay a standard foundation for the bank chip of China's bank cards, ensure that the bank card chip of our country will be universal and safe for networking, and effectively guide the implementation .

When PBOC 3.0 was introduced, Li Xiaofeng, director of the Leading Group Office of the Leading Group for the Promotion of Financial IC Cards of the People's Bank of China, disclosed at the “2012 Financial IC Card High-Level Forum” that the People's Bank had just completed the preparation and revision of the PBOC 3.0 standard. "The revision is mainly reflected in China's insistence on a complete migration route." Li Xiaofeng said that the original magnetic stripe chip card for migration was deleted in PBOC 3.0. "Ie, afterwards, I will not issue a magnetic stripe chip card and I will issue a single chip card."

The PBOC 3.0 specification was officially released on February 5, 2013.

The PBOC 3.0 specification is now widely used
